Ο BVA μας μιλάει λίγο πριν την εμφάνιση του με τον Leaf Dog στο Thessaloniki Street Art Festival.
Πότε ξεκίνησες να ασχολείσαι με το ραπ;
– Ξεκίνησα το ραπ το 2002, πριν από αυτό «έφτυνα» που και που freestyles αλλά έγραψα το πρώτο μου κομμάτι το 2002 με τον Leaf Dog. Ήταν αυτό ή το 2ο κομμάτι που γράψαμε που ήταν το ρεμίξ του “taskforce thugs r us” όπου αλλάξαμε το ρεφραίν σε “fuck the pigs”. Μπορεί και αυτό να ήταν το 1ο.
Έχεις κάνει αρκετές εμφανίσεις στην Ευρώπη πές μας μια εμπειρία που σου έχει μείνει;
-Το φεστιβάλ Donauinsel στη Βιέννη, στην Αυστρία ήταν υπέροχο, το Hip Hop Kemp στην Τσεχία και τα 2 show που έχουμε κάνει με τον DjNoiz στην Αθήνα, το 1ο show με 4 owls και το τελευταίο που κάναμε με τον Leaf Dog. Η Ελλάδα πάντα μας δείχνει αγάπη.
Το 2015 κυκλοφορήσατεμετους «Four Owls» το «Natural Order» Ετοιμάζεται καποια νέα δουλεια με Four Owls;
-Δεν δουλεύουμε κάτι με 4 owls προς το παρόν αλλά είμαστε πολύ απασχολημένοι με νέα projects και μουσική και σίγουρα θα έχουμε συμμετοχές ο ένας στο Project του άλλου.
Ποιες είναι οι βασικές επιρροές σου;
-Οι κύριες επιρροές μου είναι οι wu tang, biggie smalls, gangstarr, fugees, busta rhymes/flipmode. Έπειτα άκουσα το αγγλικό άλμπουμ του djskitz – countryman που περιλαμβάνει πολλούς καλούς άγγλους καλλιτέχνες. Τότε ήταν που το ραπ έγινε μια πραγματικότητα για εμένα σαν κάτι που μπορούσα να κάνω, επομένως με επιρρέασαν κατά μεγάλο ποσοστό.
Μετά τον solo δίσκο ¨Be Very Aware” πουκυκλοφόρησες το 2014 σκέφτεσαι να κυκλοφορήσεις στο μέλλον κάποιον solo δίσκο ξανά;
-Βεβαίως, δουλεύω ένα solo αλμπουμ αυτόν τον καιρό. Άλλα πράγματα που δούλευα και θα κυκλοφορήσουν στο άμεσο μέλλον είναι το νέο άλμπουμ απο brothers of the stone. Εγω και ο Leafdog κάνουμε ένα άλμπουμ με τον Nottz raw, έναν αμερικάνο παραγωγό που είμαι πολύ χαρούμενος να συνεργάζομαι. Επίσης, ετοιμάζουμε μερικά πράγματα με bronze nazareth.
Τι να περιμένουν οιΈλληνες fans σου στην εμφάνιση σου στο Street Art Festival στη Θεσσαλονίκη;
-Πρέπει να περιμένουν τα καλύτερα! Καινούρια κομμάτια αλλά και κλασσικά τυλιγμένα σε ένα live φωτιά χαχα. Η Ελλάδα είναι ένα απο τα καλύτερα μέρη για live στον κόσμο επειδή οι fans εκτιμάνε τη μουσική, γι’αυτό θα τους δώσουμε το 110%

-When did you start rappin’?
-I started rapping in 2002, before that I’d only spat a few loose freestyles but I wrote my first song in 2002 with leaf dog. It was either that or the second song we wrote was a remix of taskforce thugs r us, where we changed the hook to “fuck the pigs”. That may have been the first.
You’ve done a lot of shows in Europe, tell us your favourite experience
-Donauinsel festival in Vienna, Austria was amazing, playing hiphopkemp in Czech Republic and both the shows I have done for djnoiz in Athens, the first four owls one and the last one me and leaf dog did were both very memorable. Greece always show us alot of love.
In 2015 you released “Natural Order” with the “Four Owls”. Do you and the owls prepare anything else?
-Not currently working on anything as the four owls but we are all very busy making projects/music and will be featuring on each others projects for sure.
Which are your infuences?
-My main influences were probably wu tang, biggie smalls, gangstarr, fugees, busta rhymes/flipmode to name a few, Then I heard the UK album djskitz – countryman which features alot of great british artists, thats when rapping became a reality for me as something I could actually do, so they all influenced me alot.
After your solo album “Be Very Aware” that you released in 2014, do you think of releasing another solo album in the near future?
-For sure. I am working on a solo album right now. Other things I have been working on that will be out in the near future are a new brothers of the stone album, me and leaf dog also have an album we are making with Nottz raw an American producer that I’m really happy with and we have also been making some stuff with bronze nazareth that is starting to come together.
What should your Greek fans be expecting of your show at the Street Art Festival in Thessaloniki?
-They can expect the hype shit! Some new stuff and the classics wrapped in balls of flames haha.Greece is one of the best places to perform in the world because the fans really appreciate the music so we will be giving it 110%.
